I received some photos taken at the tech rehearsal for DANCEBREAK (see my previous post). Boy I wish I had seen Stas's work that night. The number he did from ZORBA sounds very exciting:

According to Stas:

I had some incredible a dancers from Movin' Out, Chicago, Sweet Charity (both revivals), Fosse, and Dancin'. Dana Moore who is on the Fosse DVD, was great.

My ZORBA number sparked lots of interest and even revival interest. I reformed the number to make it a production number and changed the ending to be upbeat and exciting. With the musical director, Michael Rice, I took the dance music from the original and revival (both different), combined them, changed tempos, changed styling and even added a solo drum section.

Very cool!
