A friend of mine, the very talented singer Kelly Vohn, sent me this press release about some vocal workshops she is holding with Vegas artist/vocal coach Heather Kefala, across North America. They have formed a company called the "Vegas Vocal Con-X-Shun". The next one is on March 25 in New York city, so check it out!

Oh, and Kelly has great taste in songs -- she recorded seven of my songs (including the title track) on her album "Kelly Vohn: A New Beginning"!

Vegas native recording artist/vocal coach, Heather Kefalas, joins forces with Canadian recording artist/performance vocal coach, Kelly Vohnn, to form the vocal company called the "Vegas Vocal Con-X-Shun". They will conduct vocal workshops across the US and Canada encouraging performers to bring out their best vocal and performance capabilities. Heather and Kelly have teamed up with several well respected talents in the entertainment industry to bring forth the best learning tools to amateurs and professionals alike. Anthony Crivello, Tony Award winner who is currently performing as The Phantom in “The Phantom of The Opera” at the Venetian in Las Vegas, recently joined them for an introductory Musical Theater Workshop held at Cool Blue Talent.

Vegas snatched Anthony away from Broadway to play the lead role of The Phantom. (If you haven’t seen the Vegas production of The Phantom it is definitely a must see!!) The first day of the intense two-day workshop consisted of Anthony's acting expertise. He taught all who attended how to relax during an audition and how to focus on landing the part! He critiqued the participants individually and they were absolutely thrilled with the learning experience.

Heather Kefalas and Kelly Vohnn were joined the following day by Kimberly Kanitz, another very well respected Vegas local vocal coach and Jolie Rand a former Broadway performer to sit on a panel to critique as well as advise each participant on how to bring out their best performing abilities. Each lady also shared their individual experiences in the business and completely wowed the audience.

Next on the agenda for Kelly Vohnn and Heather Kefalas and their "Vegas Vocal Con-X-Shun" will be Aaron Lazar who is presently performing in the production “Les Miserable” on Broadway. This vocal workshop will be conducted in New York City at the Ripley Grier Studios on March 25, 2007. Aaron will be focusing on the theatrical component of the Musical Theater and performing. His successful background promises to bring exceptional tools to the table.

The dynamic-duo have conjured up several celebrities for future workshops locally and abroad. Watch for the "Vegas Vocal Con-X-Shun" to announce the date and location of their next vocal workshop.
